The Army’s 101st Airborne Division is in Romania near the border with Ukraine. The troops deployed are involved in exercises in preparation for the possibility of being directed to cross into Ukraine and join the fighting there. In other words, Joe Biden appears poised to start World War III anytime he wants.

And before that, we provoked Russia by expanding NATO to its borders (in violation of the commitments we made after the fall of the Soviet Union), conducting a color revolution to drive out the Russia-friendly Ukrainian government in 2014, and sending our idiot VP in country to speechify about Ukraine's membership in NATO while Russian forces were amassed on the border.
NATO doesn't go out and solicit countries to join. The countries ask to join NATO and probably for protection against what's going on. After the fall of the Soviet Union, many countries that were in the old Soviet Block joined a "Partnership For Peace" which was a percussor to being a NATO member. This started back in the early 90's. With the current leadership in Moscow, if I had a bad neighbor, I'd like protection too.
