This is as much a drug problem is it is symptomatic of a demoralization crisis.

If it's true that when the wealthy catch a cold, the lower classes catch pneumonia then the lower classes have terminal pneumonia at present.

I'd be hard pressed to claim that there is some simple "war on drugs" solution to a problem involving drugs which are so cheaply produced and easily trafficked that their rapid proliferation can be stopped short of draconian measures. Frankly, i'm anticipating that homelessness and drug addition will be met with Duterte style execution squads at some point in our generation. Probably sooner than later judging from the international community's mere whimpers to Duterte's rapid implementation of extrajudicially dealing with drugs.

Just posted this on Fakebook and sent by email to family:

People are dying in open air drugs markets in Philadelphia because the city and state governments are not doing their jobs. The images are dystopian.

===========================

1,946,780 people have illegally crossed the southern border in FY2022 so far.

3,681,466 people have illegally crossed the southern border since Biden took office.

We have no idea how many were allowed to enter the country.

We have no idea where they are.

------------------------

The Biden Administration has been bussing and flying these people all over the United States, often in the middle of the night without notifying local and state governments.

Nearly 750 people (including children) have drowned in the river or died in the desert so far in FY2022.

-----------------------

The Border Patrol is dealing with about 8000 illegal immigrants a day...and those are the ones that turn themselves in or are caught. Jeh Johnson, Secretary of Homeland Security under Obama, stated that 1000 encounters a day was overwhelming. We are now eight times that rate with no end in sight.

https://freebeacon.com/biden-administration/highest-number-in-us-history-border-patrol-logs-8000-migrants-entering-us-each-day/

-----------------------

Where are all the people who cared so much about illegal immigrants under the Trump administration? They're outraged that border state governors are sending illegal immigrants to so-called sanctuary cities (DC, NYC, Chicago, Edgartown), but they have no problem with Biden's middle-of-the-night flights? Out of sight, out of mind? If Chuck Todd doesn't report on it, it's not a problem?

The border is not secure, so people from all over the world are coming. An unknown number die before they even reach the border. Women and children are raped and trafficked. Some pay their way as drug mules. No one crosses the border illegally without paying the cartels. No one. How do desperately poor people come up with thousands of dollars to cross?

The US federal government is incentivizing desperate people to make a dangerous and sometimes fatal journey to our southern border.

The US federal government is enriching the cartels and endangering American citizens by allowing drugs to flood across the border. If the Border Patrol officers are overwhelmed with illegal immigrants, they are not able to stop the drug mules crossing in other areas.

Why is the Biden administration allowing this?

Why is the Biden administration lying about this?

Where are all the people who cared about illegal immigrants under Trump?

We own every bad thing that happens to these people.

We own every bad thing that happens to these children.

You get what you vote for. Did you vote for this?

where are the anti-immigration people? two things happened. first, the leftist media outlets refused to cover the stories. then there was only one remaining mainstream outlet covering the story (Fox News) preaching to a notable but relatively small audience. half the country can't agree on the meaning of facts so we stopped communicating across the divide. and within each partisan half, we all eventually tired of shouting into our echo chambers . second, the progressives in state and federal government stopped enforcing the laws or responding to serious enforcement requests which lead to 3) a sense of futility in actually combatting the problem which then results in 4) the anti-immigration crowd being angry enough to want dramatic action but being entirely unsure how to achieve anything meaningful before 2024.

Come 2024, they will install a brutal right wing dictator to "undo" the damage of the brandon regime.

I don't think we need a "brutal right wing dictator" to undo the damage done by the Brandon regime, although I acknowledge the risk of a dramatic pendulum swing if things don't get better soon.

Yes, where are all the people who cared so much when they thought illegal immigration was a cudgel that they could beat Trump over the head with? Where are the media? The problem is the worse it has ever been, and the losers in the left media are worried about the wealthy people in Edgartown? I'm calling out hypocrisy. BTW, the friggin governor of Massachusetts bussed the Venezuelans off the island and onto a military base in less than 48 hours.

May I suggest watching Lara Logan's interview with Steve Bannon on WarRoom on Rumble. It is the plan.

i assure you things are not going to get better soon. over the years i've noticed with a moderate (better than chance) degree of certainty that the youtube and amazon best selling items when taken together are good at forecasting geopolitical events based on (presumably) my affirmed interests and purchasing patterns. the patterns i'm seeing presently suggest several catastrophic economic bubbles are currently in the slow phase of exponential collapse. it's starting to look like we're mere weeks from an initial -20% or so stock market index correction which will further fuel the severe food shortages (primarily due to inflationary pressures) that we all intuitively feel are coming soon.

however, i fully acknowledge even the best economic and political forecasts are prone to frequent error due to the intractable complexity of multiple, constantly reactive, variables and i acknowledge that date setting is a fools errand without deep-insider information.

Why do you think the 2024 election will be any more legitimate than the 2020. 80 billion votes for a senile old pedo living in a basement? Get real.

it's not what you think though. the social currents are pushing us into a radically anti-left leader by popular demand. it may even be a write in candidate at this point because the disillusionment with the democrats runs so high presently and will only get substantially worse.

whether or not the election is manipulated, i think the installation of a radical right wing candidate was the long-term plan after the puppet brandon demoralized the entire nation and possibly set the country on a course to martial law.

this is a good socio-economic analysis of how we'll end up with a right-wing dictator based on historical patterns: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5UCmsXpngA

We need to bring back the vagrancy laws and institutions. Just because it is public does not mean that you can live, sleep, get high, defecate anywhere you want. If you can't help yourself, we will help you, give you a place to stay, feed and clothe while you do menial work to pay for your maintenance. When you have successfully recovered, you are free to go but do it again and you will be back. The poor house/work house used to scare people and were not places you wanted to go. Today, even prison is like a holiday camp. Bring back personal responsibility and cut the welfare period.

i'm pretty sure if you started cleaning up the streets with law enforcement action, the drug dealers and pimps and even some of the addicts will start shooing the police out of their districts with knives and bullets.

not to justify such programs but within the next election or quarterly profit cycle rapid action to reduce inner city drug abuse would likely up the body count significantly over the current rash of overdoses which are best termed suicidal and para-suicidal behavior probably resultant to widespread despair.

Isn't despair part of depression which leads to drug use? There is no self worth. By providing a safe haven even if rather unpleasant it is better than laying on the streets in filth. The public aka the working taxpaying public should not have to put up with their surrender. Every individual is expected to not only provide for themselves but, I know it is a white thing, to contribute to the world they were born into, not just bleed it dry. Welfare was meant to be a helping hand but now has become a way of life and a benefit OWED to the poor amongst us.

a more useful term than despair is "demoralization". it stems from chronic depression and anxiety when a person can no longer make sense of his internal or external environment and foresees no chance for change.

the fantastic book "bureaucratic propaganda" from the 1980s cites welfare as a propaganda program designed by johnson and expanded by nixon, literally, to keep colored folks from rioting over income inequality. free money is all good and well at first. eventually, you get tired of intergenerational poverty, become demoralized, and then you violently rebel (the lower classes follow this pattern regardless of race).

even we "the middle class" have come to expect various welfare programs such as Social Security and high quality life-long medical care. take these false promises away from us. show us these programs were part of a ponzi scheme and we too will rebel as our own children rebel against us for denying them the rich and easy life we promised them in their youth.
