Press reports increasingly point to the possibility that the United States, probably in cooperation with Israel, will opt to “take out” Iranian facilities affiliated with its advancing nuclear weapons program.
As an educator in the public schools system of 40 years, the problem Mr. Faddis points out in this article is making a point which is accurate, but is also broader in scope than he's apparently aware of. Why? Simple. The gentle & progressive agenda of Communism within our country has not only affected our IC, but more importantly our social mindset of almost every facet of our concern regarding the protection of our national defense and values. Our immediate post 9/11 national slogan was "Never forget!" How well has that gone in 23 years? Most youth under 18 are only vaguely aware of what happened. I watched this gradual deterioration occur to our educational curriculum, which at the end of the first decade of our new millennium had already been dumbed down considerably. Now, after COVID, it is a total "train wreck!"
While Sam's assessment of what is needed is correct, my assessment is, IMHO, that there are far fewer individuals within our ranks today who understand these skills and courage to do the job it would take. Those individuals would be from those who served in the military in the range of pre-2010. Then too, if any of our adversaries (North Korea, Iran, Russia) were to successfully detonate a nuclear bomb (E.M.P.) over the "sweet spot" of the U.S., it would be a totally different scenario in only a few months and we'd be ripe for the taking!
