One of the critical elements of Joe Biden’s administration is the effort put into hiding the multiple national security disasters unfolding before our eyes. The Iranians are on the verge of fielding an arsenal of nuclear weapons. The Chinese could blockade Taiwan at any moment. Drug cartels operate with impunity a hundred miles north of our southern border. The pretense remains – ‘none of this is happening’.
Having the luxury of a couple days time before reading this report, we will be France very soon. The difference is many of the people that hate America were born here. The remainder are crossing the borders with the assistance of the current administration. Which also seemingly hate America.
We treat our own nation like a flophouse. As for Al Qaeda's aims, they were simple - they wanted to drive us out of the region by drawing us into a bloody war and then bleeding us to death just as they did. We offered more ability to do that by opening a separate front in Iraq that various other Jihad groups and Iran filled. We played into their hands perfectly.
And now here we are. 6 trillion or so in the hole for the war and counting (those wounded vets are not cheap to support). Credibility in tatters. Military capability at a historic low while spending is at a record high w 600 generals and so many projects and agencies and overlapping authority and people it's a joke. I mean, if we are going to spend 1 trillion per year on NatSec, could we at least have the largest navy in the world? This country is broken. The Left broke it and the Right has no idea how to fix it.
