Valid interview, skimmed over many hefty points in the attempt to put a period on a centuries old philosophy. That is a disservice to the public just becoming aware of a situation outside their own neighborhood or check book. Still, no fault of their own as the modern governmental education system doesn't teach history. It's impossible to cover the situation in the ME in a 15 minute soundbite, though you answered the questions well in the time you had.
The best place to learn about what and why of what is occurring in the M E is at a church that teaches the entirety of the Bible, with an emphasis on old testament history and prophesy. A good Biblical teacher will also delve into the history of Islam and how that theology is spread.
I was happy to hear you guys mentioned the point that the IRGC is basically a ruling force politically and financially within the religious umbrella . As well as the point of total chaos needed, per hard core Shia theology, to pave the way for the Mahdi or twelfth Imam that will remove the great Satans' (Israel & USA). Again, Islam is a long study but the Sunni Shia divide should be considered too. Turkey just lamented the heartbreak of watching an Islamic brother state go rouge.
Total chaos, that is why everyone should be concerned with what is going on in Iran/Persia. Yes we have problems at home, but we are also witness to having a President that can do more than one thing at a time. Our job at home, in my opinion, is giving this President the political resources, a house and senate, to accomplish the goals he has set. That is America first.
